Prohibitory orders have been issued in a 5-kilometre radius area in Beed, Maharashtra, following violent incidents related to the Maratha reservation. The orders were issued after the office of the Nationalist Congress Party was torched and the residences of NCP MLA Sandeep Kshirsagar and former minister Jay Kshirsagar were set on fire. NCP MLA Prakash Solanke’s residence was also targeted. Minister launches work on memorial for Tamil language martyr in Ariyalur district
The Tamil Nadu transport minister has launched construction work on a memorial for Tamil language martyr Kizhapaluvur Chinnasamy. The memorial, which is being developed with a budget of Rs 3 crore, will include a hall to commemorate Chinnasamy’s role in promoting the Tamil language. Chinnasamy immolated himself in 1964 to protest the imposition of Hindi. The memorial will feature a statue and provide information about his sacrifice to visitors, including tourists. The district collector has outlined the plan for the memorial and its amenities to the minister.

A group of fans has built a temple dedicated to Rajinikanth within the premises of his residence in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The temple features a 250kg statue of the actor. Rajinikanth is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film “Thalavivar 170,” which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and others. The film is set to release next year during the Pongal festival.
