At 5.5 km, Indias longest ropeway to link Dehradun & Mussoorie in next three years
A consortium led by FIL Industries has started work on the Dehradun Mussoorie Ropeway Project (DMRP), which will be India’s longest ropeway at 5.5 km long. The ropeway will connect the cities of Dehradun and Mussoorie, cutting travel time from 1.5 hours to 15 minutes. The project, costing Rs 300 crore, will feature 10-seater diamond cabins with a capacity of 1,300 passengers-per-hour-per-direction. Once completed, it is expected to boost tourism and employment in Uttarakhand. This will be the first ropeway in India built for both tourism and urban mobility purposes.

The lack of air connectivity has been a long-standing demand, with residents and political leaders alike expressing their concerns. Hindu temple in US raided by burglars

The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the burglary, which involved six suspects captured on surveillance video. No arrests have been made, and the incident is being treated as a potential hate crime. The Coalition of Hindus of North America has called on the police to take the matter seriously. The thieves were seen breaking through doors and escaping with the 100-pound donation box.
